Fall Finally

Fall is coming to Colorado. Here is my last big garden harvest, on Sunday. There are still so many greentomatoes on myplants, so I covered them Sunday night and Monday night. So far they are still alive, even with frosts both nights. Tonight should be the last freeze for a while.
Cold weather also means turning on the fireplace. We converted our living room fireplace to a gas insert a few years ago, such a great decision. Now we have localized heat when we want it. Someone else loves it, too: Sitting in front of the fireplace, drawing and painting:

Picking her own final harvest!

Next Folder - Very timely - October 2005: We went to the Cider Days that year, so you can compare the pics here with the pics in the previous post :-)

We also visited the Swetsville Zoo near Ft Collins with friends. What an interesting place! I suggest you visit it if you are in northern Colorado.
