Catching up

Here is a dance Elise's ballet class performed last Thursday:

I am knitting a bag for a friend. I let her pick out the colors, then I came up with an idea for the bag. Using a variety of yarns, including thrift store yarn, ribbon yarn, lovely fuzzy yarn, a nice orange yarn form Chicago, and the addition of a few finds in a yarn store in Steamboat, I finally realized that I am knitting this bag for me. It IS my colors. I have been searching for inspiration for these various yarns I had, and it all came together with those new yarns in this project. This bag will be (is being) felted, but I think it would make a beautiful sweater unfelted. I have also been searching for sweater inspiration, I think this is it.

Now I just have to find all of these yarns again, and do the sweater. ;-p

BTW, the trees are at their peak color in my neighborhood today. It is just perfect, nice weather. And here comes a storm, wind is picking up. I fear all the leaves will be blown off the trees by tomorrow.
