Nothing New

Well, it has been several days since my last post, and I don't have much to write about. Summer is here for sure, we have been playing at the park, working in the garden, the kids have been building fairy houses. I haven't taken any pictures, tho.


So........ I realized that the namesake of this blog hasn't been mentioned or photographed here. SO today, I dedicate my post to Sandy, our Salamander. He has been with us for quite a while now, going on 3 years I think. He started jumping into a swimming pool belonging to a friend of John's. He was scooped out and put into the bushes numerous times, and then in desperation the friend called John and asked him to get this salamander out of my yard!!!!! SO Sandy has been living with us ever since. He is quite a social salamnder, I have read that most just burrow and hide from their human friends. Not Sandy, he sleeps under a log or rock, but comes out every time one of us comes near. In reality, Sandy thinks we will feed him, but we call it being social.

And here is the first installment of the Lair O' the Bear fall photos, Fall 2003. I've done them ever since, about that time of year. It's fun to see the kids progress in the pics.
