We finally got around to processing that basil I picked at BerryPatch Farm - here is my trusty helper:
And here is the final product - 5 jars of pesto. Need to go back and get more, this much won't last us long ;-) Frozen, it should stay good for a long time.
An evening dinner request of a "dipping" meal. One of our favorites, we have all sorts of veggies and sauces, with cheese and bread. Yum!

And the jokester who comes along with it.......
The peach salsa turned out way better than I hoped. We have a fair amount of this, luckily, canned using a USDA recipe, shelf stable.

Still had some Berry Patch cilantro (quickly deteriorating) and onions leftover, and a ton of tomatoes from my own garden, as well as some peppers. Made up a quick salsa, which is now in the fridge marinating..... I will freeze this batch.
The kids were busy this past week too - lots of artwork.

Here are Elise's mermaids:
Someone's cats (Elise?)
Owen's "Flying Car" - the details written in are amazing - read them if you can (some of the spellings are really cute too - for instance, "Arow Dinamic Shape" :-) Click on photo to enlarge!
Owen and Elise wrote a song. They wouldn't sing it for me, or else you would probably see it here....
My amazing engineers also built a ladder today. Then I went outside and saw what it was for - they are planning on building a tree fort in one of the front yard maples. They found logs and pieces of wood, and used some old acrylic yarn I had given Owen.
