And here they are post-felting: Both are drying, so are stuffed with whatever will help them form their shape. I will post later when they are dry and have straps.
Front and back:
The purple bag is Teacher Bag #2, an end of the year gift for Owen's teacher. She said she liked purple in her teacher survey ;-) It is a pattern I got for free from the yarn store.
The other one is a pattern from the book Modular Knitting, I am calling it the Star Bag since I can't remember it's name. I'm thinking a big round button as a closure on this one?
And here is our new tent. I went with the Kelty Grand Mesa 6, after much deliberation. I am very hopeful :-) It was very easy to set up, I did it myself in 5 minutes, even feeling yucky with a cold. Another 2 to get the fly on. It is definitely smaller than our other tent. but that one leaked when it rained, and we had more room than we needed. The rain fly on it was not very helpful.
