What better day than today to give an update on my gardening? My outside garden is going well, I put some root crop seeds in the ground last week (carrots, radishes, turnips) - maybe a bit late, but they are in nonetheless. My indoor spinach was put out last week as well, and it is growing nicely, only a tad bit larger than the spinach I planted directly into the ground as seeds. The lettuce has all germinated, doing nicely as well. Salad soon!
Peas progressing nicely (those that weren't dug up by Hurl, the squirrel), and all the herbs I have out are thriving.
I spent the better part of an afternoon a few days ago transplanting tomatoes and peppers. (I still have a bunch of seedlings, if anyone wants them - I don't have any more room or pots! - LMK)
Here are the lovely peppers (5 types?)
And tomatoes (2 types - willing to trade for others.....)
The kid's plants are also thriving - here is the carnivorous plant kit the kids got for Christmas - finally something is growing!!!!!
Yes, I put the little plastic snake and blue rocks that came with the kit in - it adds to the atmosphere....
Here is the dome ecosystem- with the frog watchguards.
This plant is from earlier this fall - Owen and Elise "bought" this by combining their tickets from winning games at our back to school carnival.
This plant completely dries up when not watered, but one watering brings it back - for a few days. Then it dries up again. Weird, huh?
And Avocady is also doing fine.

Here is a bigger view of my whole setup. I love it when the whole area is green!

We are just now starting to get ready for Elise's ballet recital rehearsal. This is the night I get to do my videos - so be on the lookout for them. If they don't get posted tonight, then tomorrow at least!!!!!!
No more work on the chicken run outside today due to rainy dreariness. But John got part of the house framed uplast night in the garage!!! If it isn't too cold or rainy, we might get the house built this weekend. Since fencing in the run is my job, that part might take a little bit longer ;-p

I'd take any spare tomatoes or peppers you've got. Mine didn't germinate well and the few tomatoes I do have I didn't mark, so I have no idea what they are. I am willing to trade some, they're either the plums I grew last year (that strange, Polish name) or the Mahgrebi smallish regular tomatoes.
