Egg Update!!!!!

Yes, that is what you think it is. Our first egg! We have no idea who laid it. But - there it was, a few hours after my last blog post - Chicken Update 2009!
And then again, the next day, another egg. They were small, not the size large Grade A you get at the store, but not too tiny either. Maybe a size small :-) and light brown.
Who laid this egg? Was it Pecky? Chipmunk? Etc.......We found a third egg on the third day, but it had a thin shell and cracked before we got to it. Same chicken? Different chicken? Who knows - it is a great mystery :-)
No more eggs since then (2 days without!) but we are always on the lookout. Soon we will have enough for that quiche!

Now for more chicken updates: What does this look like to you? Yes - it is - chickens in a tree!!! My children love to play with the chickens and expose them to new and fun things. And take pictures of those things ;-p
