Elise

Found this amazing writing on my desk tonight after kids went to bed, with drawing on the back.

Elise recently lost her second upper tooth. She was not too keen on me taking a photo of the phenomenon, so brother helped.
SO then she helped brother.

Trees, Parades, Solstice, and Cats

At Downtown Littleton's Tree Lighting Parade

Off to the foothills to cut our own tree

Documenting the event!

Here she is happy
He is too
Here she is sad
She will be happy

Still trying

Resisting

Ah ha!

Silliness
Timber!

Success

And away we go!

Downtown Denver's Parade of Lights!
No pictures from the parade... but afterwards....

Rollercoaster?

Winter Solstice at home. Putting up the tree, opening up gifts of new pajamas, and drinking eggnog.

Winter Solstice at sunrise - Red Rocks, watching the sunrise, drumming up the sun!

It was cold - the need for hot chocolate!

We did it!

Another year the sun has come back, to begin lengthening the days and warming the earth.

AND......Cat in a bag.

Just can't resist the cute cat photos.

Christmas 2010

Starting with the stockings and gifts from Santa.

Elise wanted a journal more than anything - she loves to write.

Can't forget the duct tape for Owen.

Now - for the gifts under the tree!

A microscope form Aunt Carol.

Elise got a beautiful blue camera for Christmas! (Then mom started using to it to take the rest of the photos... ;-p)

Happy Boy :-)

Owen finally got his Unicycle!!!!!

First try videos. The seat is a little high - it will need surgery to lower. Might be okay high if he figures it out......

How to Train Your Dragon!!!!!

Lego Harry Potter. Yay!

Gifts cards to a bookstore!!

Owen got Elise a blue necklace from the holiday shop at school - here he is helping to put it on.

We always love beanie babies....

Mom gets her chocolate :-)

New Wii games!

Knife sharpener and tools.

The Guardians of Gahool! John and the kids have been reading this series of books as bedtime stories for a while now, so excited to finally have the movie!

Owen and his electronics kit.

A fun puzzle from Aunt Carol!

John got a new sweater from the kids.

The Narnia series.

This is just scary.

Elise's gift to Owen was a new tackle box with some gear inside.

Owen's wrapping paper for his gift to Elise. Do you sense a theme happening?
Owen's artwork on a t-shirt: an owl of course. Owen's sewing skills are improving. He's probably better than me by now.

Visiting with Great Grandma Welty after brunch.
Elise performed much of her holiday show for grandma. Enjoy!

Christmas Dinner - our traditional lasagnas made by John.
White (alfredo), meat w/red sauce, veggie w/red sauce.
