Here was our view at lunchtime on Saturday - beautiful hanging clouds over the lake. The lower white stuff is clouds - the upper is snow.
Lots of drizzly rain.
Did a little fishing in the rain, found some geocaches, and then drove up to Independence Pass.
Rain and snow mix.
Sweet little alpine flowers. Alpine Forget-Me-Not.
No one would pose in this photo for me - they all wanted toget back in the car. ;-p
Back at camp, many grasshoppers to become friends.
Trying to start the fire after a soggy day.
Owen and A starting the campfire together.
Sunday dawned sunny and DRY. Hiked to Inter-Laken, a now-ghost resort town, popular around the turn of the previous century. Now a historic landmark undergoing renovation. Located in a spot between the two lakes.
The owner decided to build a vacation home in the town, and it has relocated from the edge of the flooded lake, and is being renovated. We were allowed inside to tour.

The best part was the "crow's nest" room at the top.
Secret stairway and trap door to get in!
